The trucks and trailers containing the instruments, props and uniforms are staged in a parking lot location. Each band is assigned a spot and our food van will be set up in the same location. Generally you can find our band by looking for our trailer, or tracking your child's location!
If you would like to have a seat between busy times, please bring you own folding chair. It can be a nice chance to take a break and talk with your fellow parents.
Servers help to feed the kids at the competition. This can be a fun and rewarding job, and the kids are always so grateful for our amazing food!
If your job requires using knifes to cut food, please take advantage of the provided cut-resistant gloves for both hands, or the hand holding the food.
Please wash your hands well with soap and water if possible, or use the hand sanitizer provided. All parents serving food should use the clear plastic gloves while serving. Please encourage the kids to use the hand sanitizer, which should be placed at the beginning of the food line.
Foods that are not packaged should be served by parents. The kids can point at what they want, but the parents should serve using either serving spoons, tongs, or gloved hand.
The kids can select their own pre-packaged food and help themselves to these items. Please ask if there is a limit you should inforce. Usually, the limit will be one bag of chips, one pack of cookies, etc, until all kids have been through the line once. If there are leftovers, we should save the pre-packaged items for the next competition.
